WTB: w123 wagon hatch latch mechanism
 

I need the "guts" of the hatch mechanism. The inside handle is there but it feels like something broke. The locking rod is also missing. It opens and closes fine from the outside.

If anyone has one they would like to sell let me know. Thanks!

Update: Only lock rod needed
 

After taking a closer look it turns out I only need the rod that is used for locking and unlocking from the inside. So if anyone has that let me know. Thanks

I assume you've done a careful search for the rod in the bottom of the hatch? It could be stuck in that little space at the very bottom, outside lip, where they usually rust from a collection of crud.
