W108 or similar Swing Axle

I'm looking for a complete 108 4.5 rear axle or similar with a 3.27 or similar ratio
I have a 6 cylinder car which has a 4.08.
Thanks!

Hi Larry,

Thank you for your post.
The last three numbers stamped on the side are the gear ratio. The ratio indicated is 4.08.

That's the same as what I have, unfortunately.

Thanks anyway!

I am near one; let me see what ratio it is and I will get back to you.

Email is diutley@gmail.com just to make sure I respond.

3.92 ratio, if you'd like it. I also have just the slip joints if you'd prefer to fix yours instead of shipping another one.

I appreciate the information.

I'm really looking to substitute the axle I have with a taller, numerically lower, ratio. Mine is functional. My car is currently difficult to drive because of the shorter ratio.

Thanks!

The one you are looking for will have the oil tube since it will come from a V8 car-easy to identify externally. Most likely a 280SE 4.5 with a 3.27
