Adenauer Tail Lights- Near Concours

Pair of tail lights that I'm selling for a friend. I believe they have never been installed looking at the chrome, lens, rubber seal, and interior housing. These have not been re-chromed. Only visible marking are a small logo on the frame and the same logo (not a Mercedes Star) on the center red lens. Red lens also has letter/number sequence of K13270 A 4357. Original unmolested tail lights. $275 shipped CONUS only. If interested, contact Allen at: turbo91188 at Comcast dot net.

All of your cars listed are Porsches. You didn't specify WHAT car these lights are for! It was assumed, being a rare poster, that the lights were for a Porsche?

What year and model are these lights intended for? Might help drive a sale...

What part of "Adenauer" is a mystery?

What part of YEAR and MODEL is a mystery? The W186 had different "versions" (300, 300b, 300c). Specifying what they're for helps.

Anyone with an Adenauer will know what the tail light fits. Usually knowledgable people end up with older classics.

That's not the point. Someone able to afford and maintain an Adenauer is going to be in their 50s or older, likely much older. The generations of people with classics and antiques like that aren't always up to speed on internet forums, and the younger generation doesn't always know what the code names mean. By saying year and model, or at least the chassis, somebody may recognize a car that needs the part that would otherwise go unnoticed because of a nickname given to a particular car.

Case in point being Jake's reply, the way the advertisement was worded, it sounds like a brand, not a body style. If he knew someone who actually had a 300c and knew it by that name and not "Adenauer", that's an opportunity missed.

Just because it seems obvious to you doesn't mean it is to someone else. Even if it's obvious, listing year and model can help someone else out.

These are for the last version of the 300 Adenauer (1957-1962)
The last version had the long vertical taillights.
The previous earlier versions all had the long horizontal rectangular taillights.
