WTB: OM603 Dipstick
 

Looking for a 3.0L OM603 dipstick. Accidentally busted the pull tab off of mine this evening and not happy about it.

Part number is 6030100272 and should be the same for the 300SDL and '86-87 300D with the 3.0L.

If you have one that doesn't have all the plastic bits broken off, hit me up with your offer please!

For what it's worth, a new one that won't have aged plastic that will break just like yours did is only about $30 from the dealer.

I've got a used one coming. I have the dealer cost on a new one and can't bring myself to pay that much for a strip of steel with some plastic on it to go in a car that's far from being a show car, maybe if the car was fully restored and in nice shape it would be worth it but certainly not now. The original stick didn't break from brittleness, it broke from a direct hit from a wayward elbow, not something that would usually happen.
