Wanted: W116 300SD Air Cleaner Plastic U-Tube
 

I'm looking for a plastic air intake U-tube in good condition to fit a W116 300SD. I believe there are two versions; part number 6170980101 is the first, which has a hole in the side for the vacuum pump intake pipe, and then 6170980201, which is for models with EGR valve and has no hole in the side.

I am using one with part number 1160980501 on it. It's for later chassis vehicles and while it works, it's longer at the bottom section and so it puts my air cleaner too far forward and my air cleaner rattles against the battery box. I need the correct tube/pipe for my car so I can move my air cleaner into the correct holes in the mount to keep it away from the battery box. I think I prefer version 6170980201 without the hole, but I could probably use the first version 6170980101 and plug the hole.

I just bought a 617 098 02 01, which should be a short version with no hole for the vacuum pump breather. I'll see if it's correct when it arrives.
