ANYONE PARTING A 2ND GEN 560SEL W126?

Just realized my big brake conversion just went sideways ...

I have one (1) ATE caliper which is damaged -- piston has busted off corners which is odd. So, this caliper is unusable.

I have one (1) Bendix caliper which appears rebuildable. Just got it disassembled and cleaning it up now.

Any real differences between ATE vs. Bendix ??? So, either sourcing 2 good rebuildable ATEs or just one Bendix ....

I would like some minty or not damaged front back brake rotor discs -- I think the correct part # is 126-420-04 44. I have both of them but one is damaged and the other one appears not damged but the finish is messed up.

One side has a snipped brake sensor arm, so I would need a whole unit also.

Anyone interested in an injector service as a swap depending on what you have, or other services such as lift pump rebuild? OFV spring?

PM Please / and just post you snappies here ...

Mark, if you are using 300mm front rotors (GenII 126) the calipers should have 57mm pistons. The GenI 126 calipers had 60mm pistons.

Just checked ... they are 57mm pistons.

Need the FRONT brake backing plates (rotor plates), or whatever they are called..

Yes. Splash guards. Or called rotor plates. Or called rear backing plates. I’m pretty sure the part number is correct. I think I just sourced my missing caliper at a minimum

Mark, I removed a set a couple years ago for you. Did we ever meet up, or do I still have them somewhere?

My bad Jim. I just needed one apparently and sourced it. My big brake conversion kit from the JY was a mess. I feel like a doofus if you had parts sitting for years. Im still looking for a W123 sedan rear view mirror with bracket

Autozone actually sells rebuilt MB Genuine Bendix Calipers, I ordered some for my 300SD for a surprisingly reasonable price. You should have seen how surprised I was to see the MB star in the casting! They work great. They have them listed as "Duralast Gold" I think.
