W124 - Return to OEM Gullideckel Rims
 

Hi everyone,

I have a 1990 W124 230CE 5 sp (grey market car). Prior owner put rims from a W210 riding on 215/55/16 tires. Tires are fairly new, so I'd like to keep them.



I want to return to OEM look Gullideckels, preferably 16".



Is this possible? Say from a W126 or R129?


W210 rims are 16" x 7.5"
R129 rims are 16" x 8"


What size rim will go with these 215/55/16 tires? (kinda feels like I am putting the cart before the horse)


Any input will be greatly, greatly appreciated.

The smaller the aspect ratio, the smaller range of wheel widths a tire can tolerate.

What are the offsets of the w210 and R129 wheels?

R129 is 16x8 et34
W210 is 16x7.5 et37
