I have 6 of these new in their bags. Genuine Hirschmann aerial with the deer logo on the tip. This is the early version through 1983 with the exception of the 300TD which used them through 1985. This has the smooth cable, no teeth. $65 each delivered in the U.S. If you slide yours out(back off nut and turn radio on) and it has dull ridges on it that's just where the gears dug into the smooth cable.
These must ship in a cardboard box or be protected between cardboard. Most boxes are way over sized for these so I will see about buying hard flat mailers or cutting boxes up.
You can also find cheap light chrome MTC/URO versions of these antennas that run $25 but I'd be surprised if one of those really lasts if that's what you're after.
