1995 E300D parting out

Well, the head gasket failed due to coolant res cracking while my kid was on a road trip, much rust in front frame/unibody so we're junking it.

In addition to your needs:

Meyle clutch fan with only 4 hours run time - $65 shipped

2 oil filters - $20 shipped

Relatively new front engine harness - $200 shipped.

Car is located near Buffalo NY, if you want to come and grab the whole hulk!

black with gray interior.

Nice S- class rims with very useable Cooper rubber.

Trans is good . rear end is loose.

Let us know what you'd like.

You need that connection or the entire tank> or both?

PS Nearly new GP relay on this car. Maybe 2 yrs and 20K. I installed it.

Vacuum pump: We bought the car with 223K on the clock and the vacuum pump had been changed out already.

The temp sensors are all new .

Fuel lines are all new exe the main line to injector which I could never find.

my83300cd 06-20-2019 06:38 AM

Both the connection and the tank. The PO epoxied the connection when it cracked and the epoxy has failed so leaking coolant has put a stop on the sorting out.
I hear you about the interior parts.
Buffalo is about a 6.5 hr drive from me..
How are the rear seat windows, do they both go up and down?

WINGAS 06-20-2019 06:42 AM

No, the pass side regulator is shot and I never fixed it.

Once the rain clears , I;ll pull the tank and lines.

WINGAS 06-20-2019 05:36 PM

GP /engine harness is sold.

she goes to the junk yard on Monday, shoot me your needs.

MY CD, the bulk/size of the washer res will likely make shipping cost an issue. I wouldnt want more than $10 for the two bits, BUT let me get an estimate on shipping. I'll use my friends addy in Hamden as a guide.

Phillytwotank 06-20-2019 05:42 PM

I’m interested in the clutch/fan
Do you know if it is the same clutch fan that would have been used on later 606 turbos?

w123fanman 06-20-2019 09:40 PM

These have the largest tanks of the diesel W124s, it's absolutely worth saving, it either 22 or 24 gallon versus the 18 gallon size for OM602 cars.

winmutt 06-21-2019 07:55 AM

How are the front LCA's?
Grey leather or tex interior?

WINGAS 06-21-2019 08:43 AM

2 tank I have no idea sir. Meyle P/N 603 200 00 22 Germany sticker but MIC. :( As said. maybe 4 hours runtime, its fresh. I'll send reciept dated 5/22.

W123 fan , you are correct. 650+ range 37_+ mpg approx 20+ gals, its a biggie.

Winmutt, sir LCAs? Anyway it's all grey tex.

Jollyroger054 06-21-2019 01:25 PM

Does that baby have ASD?

Phillytwotank 06-22-2019 04:41 AM

Would you mind sending a snappy of the fan set up? If it is an upgrade to the one I’ve got on mine I am definitely interested. Thanks

WINGAS 06-23-2019 12:01 PM

unsure of how to host pics here.

harness is sold.

headlamp bezels and pass front fender sold locally.

WINGAS 07-01-2019 01:53 PM

Rims... sorry you may have to stand on ur head! Believe they are S class. less than 5K on Firestone ASRs. We need ONE good rim/tire as we have three spares, not 4. So price is negotiable, assuming buyer has one wheel to kick in. Local, no shipping.

WINGAS 07-01-2019 01:56 PM

The fan, as someone asked for a pic. Clutch itself is WEEKS old with maybe 4 hrs runtime. Didnt know the head gasket was pooched. :(

So was it run to the point of overheating and shutting off due to carelessness or not watching the temp gauge? The engines don’t usually consume head gaskets.

Maxbumpo 07-03-2019 03:51 PM

Does the car have ASD?

Maxbumpo 07-03-2019 03:53 PM

Was the AC working?

How many miles on the car?

I'm interested in the monovalve, and other parts depending on your answer to the questions.

WINGAS 07-05-2019 10:47 AM

Rims

We have a potential buyer, yet FYI, the S class rims Mbz# 129 401 0602 are in very nice shape with fresh ( less than 10K) Firetone rubber on them. Will need one wheel, as we have 3 spares to replace with. Local pickup only. Paid $175 for the rims before we detailing them, so $300 with one spare wheel is asking. Thank you.

WINGAS 07-10-2019 07:23 AM

Jake tech, it had a wonky temp guage from day one. You could hit the dash adn it would drop to 80. Anyway my son was on a trip and the steel coolant line to res tank popped. He caught it, or so he thought. The repair was done and then on the next trip, the res tank cracked and bled out. I think the gasket was already giving way.

I personally drove the car 2.5 hours home from his college w/o a temp issue. The next tri[p he took, it broke down all the way down in Scranton. Res tank cracked again. .

I have never witnessed a blown head gasket that literally made the cooling system a pressure washer, spraying out the drain the minute you fire it up. Carelessness indeed.

The AC worked mint. New condensor in fact.

We'll get the last few bits off and momma says its out of the yard.

sloride 07-10-2019 08:38 AM

Maxbumpo 07-10-2019 01:27 PM

PM sent as well.

Why don't you post the VIN so we can run the datacard and understand the options?

Stevester 500E 07-10-2019 10:00 PM

before mama sends it to the scrap yard, take out the gas tank.
I am in need of that gas tank.
Thanks

Maxbumpo 07-11-2019 08:48 AM

Here's what I'd like to get:
monovalve
two-piece fan shroud
cruise control amp
instrument cluster
KLIMA relay
visors
visor clips
dual circuit power steering pump

I've sent you my address and cell phone by PM, and requested your prices and how you'd like to be paid.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

WINGAS 07-12-2019 02:07 PM

I'll grab all the bits I can off the car before it leaves tomorrow. The monovalve is the "twin tower" dealy in the battery box, yes? Blower motor is brand new btw, so I'll pull that as well.

Including the dang half full fuel tank, if practical. Sorry for the delays, schedule is chock full.

I may have to ask where some of these bits are. Cruise Control amp ,etc.

VIN WDBEB31EXSC202758

my83300cd 07-12-2019 07:23 PM

If it is going away, I'd appreciate the cruise control stalk and the light switch stalk on the column. I think you can destroy the column cover to get these bits out. Crusher is not gonna care
I have no high beams, and the cruise stalk just spins around....please.

ds190 07-13-2019 05:44 PM

Hate to see a good parts car go......

If the headliner is not sagging, that part has value too. Both tail lenses, turn signals, headlights, trunk mat, oil/water cooler assembly, windshield washer bottle heater assembly. I sure wish I could have road tripped to Buffalo last weekend:)

Thanks for your help with what I asked for, David.

WINGAS 07-17-2019 05:21 PM

folks, what I have left only ( sorry all, it had to leave our yard), are the windshield washer tank, a few molded rubber pieces ( forgot who asked for those) , the visors ( they didnt have any electrical connections) and the GP relay, which is a few years old.

SKYWAY auto wreckers in Buffalo NY now has the car.

my83300cd 07-18-2019 08:59 PM

Hi, I am the guy looking for the windshield washer tank and the funky pipe that t's off the hose.
Check you PM status please.

Stevester 500E 07-18-2019 09:54 PM

I am the guy in need of the gas tank.
I pm'd you.
Thanks

ds190 07-22-2019 10:37 AM

Thanks

Received the parts and thanks for quick shipping! Sorry to see an 95 E300 go to scrap, but life goes on.

my83300cd 07-29-2019 06:58 PM

Thanks for the washer tank and the hoses. The hose install is going to be...creative!
