722.629 C36 AMG Transmission For Sale

Hey guys. I've got a 722.629 transmission from a 1997 C36 AMG for sale. Its super clean and only has 20k miles on it.

This transmission has the bell housing for inlines, it will fit right behind an OM606 too. its the WA580 style of gearing so it is all high gearing and the tougher AMG components.

Comes with torque convertor.

looking for $600 or just a good deal. PM me!

The car it came out of was hit in the corner by the trunk when it was parked. The body damage was enough to consider the body totaled. The engine was already sold but this transmission is keen!

can this transmission fit into a 1995 M104?
Would it require a special harness to work?

You'll need an aftermarket controller and harness for any 722.6XX W124 swap.

A 4 speed C36 trans can also be used in a W124 or by swapping the tail parts of the original transmission and the wiring harness.

The C36 trans uses ratios from the V8 cars. ( numerically smaller ratios given the larger engines have more torque and don't need so much reduction. )

Given the 722.6 trans has a removable bell housing it is possible to build a M104 bell onto a V8 case.
