Well, so far, so good .... swift and sudden. Just recevied a total of three (3) deposits. Fingers crossed the other folks come through. Otherwise, per my site, I will refund everyone's money on the 30th of November.

Just put my deposit in for one, I'm still debating if I want a second or not.

Keep us posted if there isn't enough to make the order, I may change my mind and order another in the next few days, we'll see I guess.

I’m placing the order today (if they’re open) or Monday. Thanks again. A few more are available but 10 is it. Once those 10 are gone, they’re gone.

To anyone thinking about getting one of these who did not get in on the first batch, I highly recommend this swaybar/anti-roll bar.
I got one and it makes a big difference. When I got my 300CD I thought it needed shocks as it leaned quite a bit in a fast corner and was a bit wallowy yanking the wheel around. New Bilstein Comforts made no difference at all, original shocks were fine.
Adding this rear bar made the car handle the corners much flatter and did not effect the ride. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Thanks Alex E. Every single person who bought one out of the original batch of 50 who pinged me back said the car handled and performed much better with the thicker / stiffer rear sway bar (torsion bar). I have a person running my rear swaybar in a rally car, I have folks overseas in Germany, and some folks on the West Coast who take their cars out and really run them through the paces and every person gave it two thumbs up.

You are welcome Greazzer. To comment further, I used to compete nationally in SCCA ProRally Open Class in an ex-works Audi Quattro Grp A car I brought over from Europe. I had many top ten finishes overall and many podium finishes in regional ClubRally. I was rookie of the year 20 years ago. I mention this as background knowledge on my thoughts of the bar you offer.

I have driven my Mercedes with your rear bar down dirt roads at speed and am very happy with how it responds. The rear can step out nice and controls well vs. the stock understeer. Car does not oversteer.
So, for driving the car hard the stiffer rear bar is great but itís even better for normal driving. It transformed the car, I noticed it right away after I installed pulling out of the driveway. The car stays much flatter when cornering at normal driving speeds. Donít get me wrong, Iím no speed demon. I drive my coupe very gently and just cruise around & donít go over 65mph on the interstate (revs too high). With normal nice cruising this rear bar puts a smile on my face, when I mess around on dirt an even bigger one!

Still taking deposits, BUT -- the order was placed.

Sometime in January 2021 I should be shipping these out.

As in the past, and now, I am not "reserving" -- first pay, first get.

It is probably too late to increase the number, plus I am assuming the manufacturer is probably not thrilled over the idea of the order changing at this point. So, it's 10 right now. If I get more deposits than 10 by Monday or Tuesday, I will try to change the order to accomodate the increased numbers.

However, I am not going to rely upon folks "promising" to buy one at a future date. I have already been down that road.

Any who -- great news in that the order is placed and they will be made and shipped sometime in January 2021.

A few individuals have indicated an inability to order through my site, which is the first time I have ever had an issue since I opened it. Who knows. I am not a computer wizard. If you run into an issue, please shoot me a PM with your PayPal address and I will send a PayPal Invoice. Just launched those PayPal invoices this AM.

Right now, assuming those invoices are paid/ deposit made, I think I only have two left. I will double check this weekend. And to confirm, 10 is it. The order is placed and confirmed and 10 is the number locked in so I cannot change it now.

Notes

I bought one of these and had it installed a few weeks ago. I think I like it!

I live in the mountains, so most of my driving is on winding roads. I do believe that this sway bar had reduced the body roll.

This went into a 300TD. That's the wagon, and the sway bar did require a modification. The wagons have SLS (self leveling suspension), and the "arm" to the control valve for the SLS attaches to a flat spot on the sway bar. The sway bar came without the flat spot, but a few minutes with a grinder, and a touch of black paint, was all that was needed to make this work in my wagon.

My mechanic didn't mention anything else about the installation, so the sway bar and included bushings were apparently all as expected. "No news" is "good news".

Confirmation bias is tricky, so it's difficult for me to make a strong recommendation for this. But as I said, I'm pretty sure it's reduced the body roll and I'm happy I made the change.
