1985 500 SEL
I have the above listed euro spec car. Going to be getting rid of her. Been sitting for lord knows how long and she smells like pure varnish. She turns over but will not start. Have a bill of sale and a claim she cannot be titled (whatever that means). Seats and front bumper are mine. Any requests or desires before she goes?

I test drove one of those with the euro v8. It was quick.

I have an 82 500sel (gray market car) that I saved from the crusher because they could not get it to run as well. All it needed was a $65 fuel distributor rebuild kit and re-calibrate the airflow meter adjustment because they had it all jacked up.
I turned up the timing and put good fuel in it and it does run really well. I am in the process of getting it titled and it is a bit of a hassle but it is possible. If the car is solid it would be a shame to waste it, they don't make them like that any more. |
