Taking Deposits Now for 15.85mm REAR sway bar (torsion bar)
Please Visit: For Sale - W123 REAR Swaybar (torsion bar) 15mm for pictures and info, and history of this project
Taking deposits now for 30 days. After 30 days, either I will have enough deposits to place an order or not. If not, I will provide a full refund to everyone who paid. If I get enough orders, then I will squeeze the trigger and get these made. Once the latter happens, NO refunds. I believe once I make an order, it will take around 3 to 4 weeks to have them done, and in hand. I will post weekly updates. REAR SWAYBAR SPECS: 15.85 mm thick versus OEM standard rear sway bar (torsion bar) 13mm This is almost a 1mm thicker than the high performance / fleet vehicle SwayBar. These are NLA from the dealer. Going from 18 pounds per inch of deflection To: 43 pounds per inch of deflection $300. This pays for the following: Rear Sway Bar and brackets and shipping and paypal fees. The shipping is assumed to be $75 or less CONUS. If less, then I will refund the difference. If more, I will eat up to $11.70 (This is the max for paypal fees so just makes the math easier). Here's an example. Order for $300 is paid. Swaybar and brackets is $225. Final Shipping costs to this hypothetical customer is $55. PayPal Fees are 3.9%. So, $225 + 55 + $10.92 = $290.92. I will refund $9.08. Just giving one example so folks can understand the pricing. Again, $225 for rear swaybar and brackets, include 3.9% for PayPal fees, and up to $75. for shipping. These are guaranteed to fit as pictured in the previous thread. They come with a 24-month warranty. To exercise the warranty, the BUYER is responsible for shipping back to me, and the BUYER is resonsible for shipping back to him or her. AND -- telling me in advance how it failed, e.g., it broke, for example. Wrecking your car, selling your car, or just wanting your money back isn't a valid reason. There has to be something which evidences a failure. Taking the bar and putting it in a vice to bend it won't pass muster either, for example. Not promising new fasteners, but looking into hex or star bolts and half washers. They are not needed, but looking into it. Deadline for Payments is April 10, 2020. If I get enough orders before then, I will certainly squeeze the trigger. Paypal address is: Mark@dieselfuelinjector.guru |

Also , trying to get thicker sizes is the same deal as getting the size I’m offering. You still need a minimum order or the Swaybar is extremely, prohibitively expensive. The rear links threaded stud is just right for the 15.85mm Swaybar. You cannot shave down anymore that connection point

Hi,
how many do you need to make the min. order qty? If buying 2 or more is there a price break? If buyer pays using Paypal connected to their bank account, there isn't any fee for either person. Are you planning to ship in a box or just well wrapped?

I’m going off the assumption that the folks who responded will be buying one. That was pushing 50. I need at least 20 at a minimum and I will take the risk for another 5. It is planned to be shipped in a cardboard box. There’s no way around PayPal fees. If PayPal fees are a make or break for someone then I’m guessing they really don’t want to buy on as that is not a killer amount but I cannot eat all the PayPal fees I’m half way through the 30 days and near crickets.

Rare Opportunity Here
This is a great opportunity Greazzer is providing.
Please... everyone who was so enthusiastic in the original discussion and said "I want one" pony up and send the money. I did the moment it was announced. It will be a crime if we miss out on this. The car needs a stiffer rear bar. I speak from experience as a former Open Class ProRally driver. Respectfully, Alex |

Update as of 31 MAR 2020 - Got a total now of three (3) deposits. Still a long way off from the original number needed. So, all those folks who pinged me in the past about wanting to buy one, two, or even three, please shoot me a PM if you're planning to buy one or not.
There's eight (8) more days to go. One person who pinged me said the 30 days was pretty arbitrary. My response to the public is that no, it is not. I need to squeeze the trigger or not. I need to place an order (or not). A great deal of time went into this, and some of my own money and resources to make this happen. The word has been on the streets now for months about these rear swaybars. So, thanks again everyone for reading. |

Does this fit a wagon? I'm very slowly looking at needed parts on my new acquisition.

If the wagon uses the same rear swaybar as the sedan, then yes. Again, this is assuming they are the same part. Same deal with the coupe.
You would need to double check the part #s for the wagon (or coupe) to make sure it is the same part for Sedans. It fits perfectly in my Sedan and works perfectly in my Sedan. |

The Russian EPC and Partsouq EPC seem to suggest the bar is the same between sedans, coupes, and wagons. I've never found a fault in those catalogs so I would guess these bars would fit any W123.

I likewise have always heard that the rear sway bar is the same accross models.
However, I am always mindful of the trolls out there or those who would say there is some "difference" although getting to that conclusion is challanging for those contending there is something different. And, for the trolls, when I use the term "rear sway bar" I understand MB used the term (at times) "torsion bar." Got a few snarky PMs about my choice of words. It's a rear sway bar for me. Thanks for the research. |
