I am trying to replace the fan clutch on my 1987 Mercedes 300D so this would be a big help.

Tool
Quote:
1. Generic pulley holder: Performance Tool W87023, available on Ama**n. 2. Cheap flex head ratchet: https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-38-in-drive-long-reach-dual-flex-head-ratchet-67994.html 3. Slim hex socket (I think fan clutch bolt is 8 mm). https://www.amazon.com/ARES-70497-9-Piece-Metric-Impact-Driver/dp/B07B3XZQ5Z/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=ares+impact+hex&qid=1591991426&sr=8-2 It's pretty simple when you get down to it. I recommend using an OM606 or M103 fan clutch if your jaw hits the floor when you see OEM OM603 fan clutch prices.

Thanks! The 606 clutch was higher than 603 and both were around $300 so I opted for Bosch at $80. Hoping it was made in Germany.
