Hi,

Ideally I'd like to pick up a working set of used xenon headlamp assemblies for my 2000 ML. I would consider aftermarket replacement kits but I'm unsure of their performance. I'd like a remove existing assembly, plug and play type of replacement kit that would be factory spec. or close to it.

Now the kicker is I've not found any reasonably priced sources for the ML and I'm not ready to spend over $1000. Can anyone point me in the right direction or help me out directly?

I was trying to buy them on ebay, they got up to 350 a side and I stopped bidding. They got up to right around 500 each side. So try that. If I find some Ill call you.

PS the ones from performace products are NOT xenons eventhough they are projectors.

Are the performance product ones xenon? Bi-xenons not available in 2000, will they work in my MY2000 ML?

I believe the units PP sells are bi-xenons and come with the required adaptor to plug them into pre-02 models. They also sell the halogen version of the '02 model for retrofitting into pre-02 cars.

Most of the guys at www.mbnz.org that got the bi-xenons have pre-02 ML's. Do a search there and you'll read about their experiences.
