Do you still have??

The original complete W126 Manual 5 speed Conversion Kit was sold. I do have an identical additional 717.402 Transmission, Shifter, Linkage, Hydraulic Line available, but no W126 Peddles. Contact me directly if interested

@mwagon, curious if you have a kit for W123 280? I have a 1978 280CE that I have been wanting to convert to 5spd manual. Also sent you a PM.

I just happen to have an extra Conversion Kit with a 717.400 manual 5 Speed that came out of a 280CE. I've never advertised this Kit & not that anxious to sell, so price probably won't interest most. I would sell for $4500.00

Thank you for the response.
Is the kit complete with every part needed for the conversion? Any part(s) in the kit need to be refreshed or they are ready to bolt on onto a '78 280CE?

From your experience what is the level of effort to do the manual swap? If it is easier we can communicate via email, also respond to your PM.

Thank you

FWIW, i swapped a 717.400 into my '83 300d and it was very straightforward, and thats with me rolling around on my garage floor doing it on jack stands. I pulled everything from a car i had, and replaced the clutch master/slave, clutch disc/pressure plate, pilot bearing, and throwout bearing. Just all the wear components
