If your car never had AC to make it factory would be a big job. I have many parts cars that would good donners in SLC Utah if you come and pull the parts I would sell cheap. call 801 706 6871 a hot rod ac may be easier and better??? buy a parts car???

This...∆∆∆...801mbz is spot on. Been there, doing a transplant to factory AC would be a monumental challenge without an exact model donor next to you.

If you're not attached to the car, then it's better to sell it and buy a car that at least comes with factory installed A/C. The cost to *properly* retrofit a/c may quickly and easily exceed the resale value of the car.
IF you are super attached to your car, recognize that you can expect to pay $5-10k to have a competent shop do the job: i.e. carefully remove dash, plumb in the evaporator and all the refrigerant lines, get all the electronics wired up in a way that's not super "hack" and then reinstall all the above, retrofit it, get all the heater controls to work properly (they are often frozen up on your car), then it can be done. I'd offer to do it at my shop but am booked up for a while and there's no rushing a job like this. |
