WTB: S124 Tow Hitch

Looking for a tow hitch for my 95 S124 wagon. Curt 11806 is out of stock everywhere I look.

Can Curt 11816 for W124 sedan work for wagon? Looks similar.

Checked U-Haul in person, they said they don't have it in stock in any stores. They called some business entity called "Hitch Central" that they get hitches from or something, they said they do not have this hitch for the wagon either.

Will probably have to be a custom job at a metal fabricator if I can't find the hitch for sale anywhere.

Been thinking about this...the spare tire well and front to back muffler on the sedan vs. the rear seat footwell and side-to-side muffler in the T would make the cross bar rather different between the two chassis. That being said, the frame rail attaching points and the receiver probably are the same. Starting with a sedan hitch and modifying it may be the way to go. Consider asking Curt for drawings of each and decide from there.

Good luck!!!
