El chico,

let me know what is like to install. I'm kind of reluctant right now. Tell me all about it later.

The method of installing euro lights has been detailed many times on this site, and it's surprisingly easy.

We did a euro light install party at Asman's house a couple of months ago, and it took Ashman about 15 minutes per side.

If you can use a screwdriver, you can install them.

Do a search on euro lights and you'll find the threads.

light my fire

Yes, that is a good price. I just came back from Ecuador where all the Benzes have Euro lights.
The W123 DEPO (Japan, I believe) euros were quoted at
$150 each side, that is $300 a set plus 12% IVA tax.

Bosch lights cost about $210 each side plus tax.

Good deal!!

Euro Headlights-107?

Do they make these headlights for an 87 560 SL? I e-mailed Import Vision, but never received a reply.

Max, go to their web site and look up the headlights.
They list what they have.
Try calling them.
Maybe they can get special orders.
Hey Fastlane Phil goes out of his way for customers.......

FYI, you can also get Hella (made in Germany) Euro lights for 1986-1993 W124 chassis from PUMA (800-35-HELLA, ask for Paul). They come with new amber turn signal lights, all bulbs including city light bulbs, 6-pin wiring connectors, and instructions for $339. Not a bad deal with all the extra goodies. They also have 94/95 style with clear corners, and the 500E type with a pencil beam driving light instead of a fog light. PUMA has the lowest prices I've found anywhere for new Bosch or Hella Euro's (althoug Depo's for $200 sounded like a steal - too bad it didn't last!)

I have a used 94/95 set for sale, if anyone's interested...

[Note - I had a typo with the wrong phone number, I just fixed it. Their web site is http://www.puma-access.com but there is no Mercedes info, you need to call & talk to Paul.]

Regards,

How do these lights compair to Euro Bosch? How about to the stock lights?
Are new bulbs needed? A new bulb harness adaptor? Are the Euro flush in the front or are the two pc. with the Fog lense and headlight capsle as on my 1990 300SE?

Thanks
Dan

Maybe we can start another GP for a little more $$.

Dan,

1- The Bosch and Hella units are pretty comparable in quality, fit, finish, and cost. Both are superior (IMO) to the non-German made copies (TYC, Depo, etc) but the light output is probably about the same.

2- The Euro light output is so much better than the stock DOT lights you won't believe it. It's really amazing.

3- Yes new headlight bulbs are needed, I believe your originals are 9004, and the Euro's need H4. The fog bulbs are the same (H3).

4- The Euros are flush in the front, they have a one piece glass (replaceable) lens. Much nicer looking that the stock 2-pc setup, and they won't yellow & fade like the stock plastic units!

5- You will need W126-specific lights for your 300SE. PUMA carries those too, give them a call.

6- You can get Hella Euro lights for your Buick, if it uses the 4-square light system, and also your Camaro if it uses 5.75 or 7-inch rounds. These are a bolt-in replacement. More info here (and the best prices I've found) :
