parts needed for 450sl, hazard flasher & 1 ignition wire
hi, just got my '77 450 sl back, after 4 months having the body restored, changed the spark plugs, and the 4th cylinder plug wire ripped apart! the wires are in gd shaped so i don't want to replace them all, the dealer wants $75 to manufacture 1 wire!! ouch
also, my hazard lights and directional lights work for 1-3 cycles, then dies, it seems to be the flasher, anyone have either or both of these for sale, thanx |

I have a 450SE that I am parting out, You can have all of the ign wires if you want them, they are in good shape. I have a hazard relay/switch, get me the part number off of yours and I'll let you know if it is the same!

thanx that's great, the bosch # for the hazard turn signal relay is P2020-13252, i checked and it seems to be the same relay for the 450 sl, 450 sel, and 280 se, i couldn't find the 450 se (probably the same as the 450 sel?), thanx again, just tell me how much you want for the wires and the relay, do you know if the headlamp bezel is the same? regards, Andrew

Figure $15 plus shipping for the wires and the relay.
I don't have the Bosch number on my relay, its the one in the center console behind the shifter, Mine has a triangle on it (Can't really see it anymore), instead of the US version which says 'hazard' It will be a couple weeks on the wires...if that is ok. I'm making a trip down to where the car is. How soon do you want the wires. I have the hazard switch here. Also the headlamp switch bezel, I'm assuming the one in front of the headlamp switch, is not the same, mine has the headlamp level switch to the left of the headlamp switch. If I send the bezel, there will be a hole there where the level switch was. I take Pay-pal, if you want to pay w/a credit card. I'll need your address to figure the shipping on the switch and wires (If you still want those) $5 for the hazard switch alone, plus shipping. Number: 0018217951, looks like MB part number. Let me know if that is the bezel you are talking about. Thanks! Last edited by brandoncrone; 09-17-2002 at 07:44 PM. |

hi, the bezel is the plastic trim around the headlight, also, i don't need the hazard switch, i need the relay, which is inside the dash, near the steering wheel, it's the device that makes the clicking sound when you activate the turn signals and/or the hazard lights. i can wait for the wires as well, are they in gd condition, thanx, Andrew

Alright, it should be with in the next couple weeks. The wires are in good shape and the engine never misfired.
I can get the bezel from around the headlight switch, but it does have the hole to the left of the switch where the headlamp level adjust switch goes. I don't have a plug to fill the hole, unless the one from your car does. Let me check the relay and see when I get down there, I think that this car has the relay built into the hazard switch. Talk to you again soon! |
