124.603 engine and tranny For Sale (3.0 liter Diesel) on EBAY!

check out the parts classifides. I'm selling my spare 124.603 engine and tranny. All complete and still assembled. I'm going to pull the AC unit off, but thats it. Everything else is there. It had 212K miles on it ran and shifted great before pulling it out.

SEE EBAY LINK IN BELOW MESSAGE.

It's on a pallet ready to ship.

Why did you pull it? Was the car wrecked?

jclay 09-12-2002 11:07 AM

Yes, the car was hit in the rear. I still have the parts car. In fact, it's on here for sale. Still has a lot of good parts.

thanks
jason

correction

The engine and transmission has 221K not 212K miles. See photo on ebay. Comes complete. I will LEAVE the AC unit on the motor. I had previously said I was going to remove it.

Too bad they will not fit into my 300CD, otherwise I would be intrested in it.

Anyone interested in shipping this engine should look into Forward Air. I have shipped a couple of engines with them and they have been MUCH cheaper than trucking them. You must deliver the engine to one of their terminals and pick it up at a terminal. 4 cylinder engine and transmission (about 500lbs) from Florida to NY was $125.

forward air

I've shipped motorcycles with them, but were in an enclosed crate. Do you know if I can ship an engine on just a pallet with Forward Air?

They seem to have inconsistent application of their packaging rules. One time the engine was on a pallet and wrapped with that plastic on a roll stuff that looks like shrink wrapping. The other time the shipper built a plywood box around the pallet.
I have also shipped canoes with them. Once they insisted the canoe be wrapped in cardboard. The other time they just accepted it with no wrapping at all.
