240d 75 115 $400 for parts Sacramento area
This Saturday, Sept 28, I found 240D 1975 (115) stick shift on the local junkyard. The car is driveable and was being sold as a complete piece for $400. It has both rear wings bumped and mess inside. I was thinking to buy it and take AC out since my does not have one.. but it seems like to much to pay for just this and first of all I do not have a space to part it out... If somebody interested in this car, let me know..

How bad a condition is it in? Is it necessarily a parts car, or is it halfway decent enough to be used as a driver? I assume the engine and tranny are okay...? Is it street-legal as it sits?
Thanks!

I did not drive it much just tried 1st and reverse to check the brakes. seems fine, but there is some knoking in drivetrain when release the clutch when in reverse. Maybe transmission mount.. It also looks like PO welded in the second fuel tank on the back of the trunk... They are saying that there are all the necessary papers with it and it still can be registered. with junk title, of course... The paint is very faded. It was blue. I did not look how much rust on it..
