Smile Wtb Topsider Vac

With all the talk about using these for changing oil I thought I would try one. But I can't find where to by these in Canada. Can anyone help or do you have an extra one F.S. ?
thanks

Go to any boating supplies store.

They should have something similar.

Thanks I'll have a look around here but 98% of the boats in this area are outboards!

I built one out of an old 5 gallon propane tank. Works great and is very easy to build (if you have access to welding equipment)

I use an A/C evacuation pump as the vacuum source, takes about 2 minutes to suck out the old oil.

If you try to make a topsider make sure the container you use can handle a vacuum. My first two attempts (using a Jerry can and a 5 gallon water jug) ended in implosions. Any container that is rated for pressure will be able to handle a vacuum.

Of course you can buy a nice topsider for $50 - If you value your time buying one is the way to go.
