While driving my 81 280TE I noticed a rattle coming from the left front. After taking off the tire I found the brake caliper had lost a mounting bolt (19mm head). This is the same as the 300TD so if anyone has one available please let me know.

Do you have an industrial fastener supply house in the area? Take the remaining fastener and see if they can match it. Get a grade 8 fastener for this application.

Otherwise, I'm sure you can still get one in there tomorrow from Phil at Partsshop.com listed above if you get in touch with him here in a few minutes. Put blue locktite on the bolts and tighten them to spec. 90 Nm rings a bell for torque setting but I'm not exactly sure and I don't have the manual here in front of mt.
