w123 speakers -IMMACULATE

I have a pair of 4" speakers from my 1985 300TD - they will fit the front speakers of any w123 vehicle. They will also fit rear speakers of any wagon w123.

They are spotless and work 100%.

Let me know if you are interested. Make an offer, i guessing to sell them for around $12 for both.

Cheers

Eric,
I do want the speakers. I sent you two emails to the address off of the emails you sent my father...I am guessing that you didn't get them. I just got the last email that my father forwarded to me from you with your address. I will put a check in the mail tomorrow for the amount you stated. I will enclose with the check my address. Let me know if you need any further info.

Mike

installing rear speakers in 83 300td

Is there a special bracket required to mount the rear speakers - or do the speakrs screw straight to the body? Is it okay for the speaker magnetic ring to touch the bodywork?

it is pretty straight forward

I am trying to remember how it worked. They screw into the sheet metal I believe. The speakers are still available because I never recieved a check from Mike - for anyone who might be interested.

don't know the answer to the magnet question

Eric

Rear speakers

The rears in a 300TD are mounted straight to the sheet metal. Obviously, the stock ones drop right in (er, up), but aftermarket ones need to be relatively shallow. Put down a sheet or something when you drop the rear panel because the foam used between it and the speaker area has almost certainly deteriorated and become a sticky mess that's annoying to have to clean up.
