I've seen Autorice selling Eurolights on Ebay.They listed them as "fits 190E-16V", so evidently they're not too well informed on 190's. Dealer by any chance?

Autorice is obviously not selling the Hellas or Bosch units. My guess it's either the DEPO or TYC's from Asia. I've read some remarks about some not fitting the 124's nicely, but mostly it's been good remarks about the product. Apparently they even have the vaccum height adustment connector.

I've heard nothing but bad comments about the fit and durability of the TYC lights.

I have OEM Bosch Euro's on my car, and they fit perfectly (as they should).

Mike Tagas, Ashman, and others have intalled the DEPO's, and they are all happy with them. I saw the DEPO's when Ashman installed them on his car, and the quality looks great. Frankly, it was nearly impossible to tell them apart from my Bosch, but I guess only time will tell how they hold up.

Where can you get DEPOs? I'm looking for some for my w126.

I have only seen 1 set of (new) TYC lights (for 190) in my life and was shocked to see the "quality"...I have no experience with DEPO lights though...

Steve, the depos fit and finish is very good, and the light output is eceleent. They are exact replica's of the bosch units. I couldn't be happier with mine.

When you come to LA in February, you can check mine out and tell me what you think.

Looked at the DEPO's. They are about $250 for the pair, new. Is that price right? Did my eyes deceive me? This looks like a no-brainer.

i believe you get what you pay for. if you want quality it costs a little more. period.

a wool sweater cost more than an acrylic one. good leather shoes cost more than 'pleather' ones.

a mercedes costs more than a chevy. most people buy a benz for quality, longevity,safety, etc.

my point is IF tyco & depo were EQUAL IN QUALITY they would be oem instead of bosch and hella.!!!!!!!!!!! this is a no-brainer.

it boils down to money and how much one will/can invest in them

alright some members have bought the asian ones, and they are [currently] happy with them. it is their money and they can spend it anyway they want. also, BOTTOM LINE is they are happy.

personally i've been screwed on 'knock off or wannabe' stuff and i am NOT going back for more.

lets here some other opinions of OEM euro light owners and depo owners.

Well, as I posted before, I have the Bosch Euro's and they are perfect, as they should be. I also expect them to last forever, as they should. They were also expensive.

I've seen the DEPO's that Alon has, and they look and feel like the real deal. I think it would be impossible for anyone to tell them apart.

Having said that, they are still an aftermarket unit, and only time will tell if they will last and hold up as well as a Bosch or Hella unit.

Maybe they will and maybe they won't.

If I were rebuilding my car for a concours show at Pebble Beach, no doubt that I would have Bosch headlights, a Becker stereo, Boge struts and the $130 Bosch O2 sensor. While there are aftermarket pieces that are crap, there are aftermarket parts that meet or exceed OEM. MB OEM parts are no doubt chosen for quality builds, but they are also chosen for economic and business relationship reasons.

OEM parts are the safe, but more expensive choice. Aftermarket is buyer beware, but that's what forums like this are for. ;)
