Looking for Misc. W123 parts
If you have any of the following, I would appreciate
hearing about it: 1. The drivers footrest (Part# 123-976-03-60) Color does not matter. 2. Two of those little caps or plugs that cover the screws that hold the underside of the dashboard onto the front. There should be 2-3 of them on ether side of the dash front. (Part# 123-988-00-35) Color does not matter. 3. The ribbing or edging that goes from the top of the door frame to the bottom on ether side of the center post. It is covered in cloth and has a rubber string inside. I would prefer tan or black, but I would still take a different color. 4. The plastic triangular plate that is on the inside of the right electric mirror. It should not have a hole in it like the drivers side does. (Part# 123-725-04-11) 5. The X clip or spring that retains the brake pad pins. 6. And going for broke here - W123 First Aid Kit cover... Thanks!

You can get item 3 for pretty cheap at the dealer. Give them your vin number to get the matching color.

Cloth ribbing.
jjalex,
I simply take the little rubber hose out of the existing wragged cloth, go down to the local upholstery shop and buy a little headliner material of the desired color, cut it in long lengths, double the width needed, contact cement the piece around the rubber and then reinstall on the door frame with contact cement. Voila!, fixed for almost nothing. I used the remainder to cover the larger rubber pieces around the doors, but that's another story. Ben
