Need front springs after only 55K miles wow what a pain
Hopefully somebody that upgraded can sell me some or tell me where to get them I really don't want to go to the dealer.

Strated out when I brought my vehicle to the dealer for replacement instrument panel because the odometer digits were droppng out and my fifth sending unit ( New one failed after 3 days but that s another story) When I picked it up the dealer told me the Ball joints were shot and when I had my mechanic put the Ball joints in he noticed the springs. I trust my mechanic much more than the dealer and would expect the dealer would have found the same thing with the springs only cost me twiice as much to do so

They sure are !! both sides I jacked it up and took some pictures this morning
Boy the MB dealer must be blind to have missed this. I've attached photos Both sides exactly the same and pretty rusted so its been that way for a while.
Any idea how or why these fail I'm concerned that my wife routinely drives with my two infant children in this car believing its safe. In my 35+ years of driving I have never seen a broken spring let alone two at the same time!!
This car has been maintained by the MB dealership since I bought it new with the exeption of the last repair.
When I try to preview this with teh picture I don't see it if I can't attach it just email me and I'll send it along

I have a set of AMG stock srpings off my C43. They will fit your car, but if your car is heavier than my 1998 C43 it will sit lower. Not by much, maybe a 1/4 of an inch. The springs are a little stiffer than normal W202's, but improve the handling nonetheless. Also, it drives just like stock but with a little more control when you push it around turns.

In my opinion a good alternative to stock, especially brand new ones.

I will have my C280 springs available in a couple weeks (when I swap them out for H&R's). I'm in NJ, and will probably go up to Boston, so I can meet up with you if you wish. Let me know. I'll get rid of them cheap.
