Arrow Fitted Luggage for 1959 220S Sedan

My father has enlisted my help to sell the Fitted Luggage from his 1959 220S Sedan (why he kept the luggage after selling the 220 I do not know). It should fit other years as well, I'm not sure, though. In overall good condition, there are 4 pieces: 2 large trunks with inside trays, 1 meduim trunk and a smaller "shoe" trunk. They were a factory option and were listed as "4 piece luggage set, corduroy" on the original purchase order for the car. He even still has the keys that came with it (and the locks still work).

I have no idea as to the value of this set. Pictures availible on request. Please email questions to jportteus@joink.com .

This is probably worth cross-listing or linking in the vintage forum.

I have the Body, Chassis and Engine numbers that this luggage set was originally sold with. Also, here are some links to pictures I've posted:

This picture shows them arranged as they would fit in the trunk:

This one is of them all standing:

This one shows a stain that is on the bottom of one of the large trunks. It is the worst of the blemishes:

Here is a close up of the Medium sized piece:

Here is a shot of all of them with three of them open:

Here is one of the large ones open. Each large piece is identical inside:

This picture shows a close up of one of the handles. You can also see some of the stains left behind from moving stickers that were once attached:

This is a close up of the inner tag which is in all of the pieces:

to the right person these are probably worth a lot of money. Keep them as a set. Try putting them in hemmings motor news or THE STAR

Do you mean the Indianapolis Star? Or is that a Mercedes publication?

It is the Mercedes Club of America Newsletter. It is just like a magazine, but you get it when you become a member.
