Well,

I think I am giving up on the total rust repair for my 450 SEL. I think I am better to sell the parts to some people that can put them to great use.

The car is mechanically very sound.

The engine is near flawless, using no oil and has 176,000 miles.
Tranny same.

Tons of chrome.

Doors are near perfect. Fenders perfect. Grill pretty good.

All glass is good.

All power windows work etc. Original fully functional Becker Mexico.

I would like to sell the engine and transmission 1st prior to the fenders and stuff in case i change my mind.

Also have ACC servo that i bought with low use and have never used.

I just bought a ' 73 450SE and may be in need of some parts if & when you actually get ready to part your car out.

I'm looking primarilly at a tan interior driver's door panel (mine has a crack on the top edge right where you put your left elbow) and, perhaps, the leather seat (bottom) cover in the back.

In tan leather. Maybe other stuff, too, depending on what you have available.

Does the 76 have an emission control system with an EGR valve? If so I would be interested in some parts.
