ML Spark Plug Boot Removal Tool
 

This tool is made by Hazet, part# 2771 and is the tool designated by the Mercedes Workshop Information System to be used to remove the boots from the spark plugs on the ML's. It's a 17mm offset wrench. It's practically brand new and shows no wear. I bought it new and used it once on my 1999 ML 320 to change the plugs. With this tool it's easy to change your plugs and save a lot of money. I just changed all 12 plugs on my vehicle which has 79,384 miles on it. The gap for the plugs I removed is 1.5mm. The new plugs which I purchased from a Mercedes dealer say on the box the gap is 1mm.

I can give the purchaser instructions as to the procedure I used if need be, although all the information to do this job is on this website. The entire job is done from the top of the engine, ie. no fender liners need to be removed.
