My C280 comes off the road on Friday. I've been driving this thing since I was 18, and now I'm forced to sell it b/c my insurance co. found out about 3 of my speeding tix.

Anyway, I bought a '91 300E as a temp. car till my premiums come back down, and I want to lower it and install an avantgarde grill.

Why not get factory Sportline springs? They're probably cheaper too (under $200 wholesale, IIRC). You'll probably need new shocks & struts unless the car has recent ones, the old/stock stuff doesn't have enough rebound to deal with lowering springs. Worry about that after you get the springs installed though. And might I suggest sway bars to reduce body roll...?
