feeler - considering parting out 83 300SD near San Jose, CA
 

There's no local interest in a good running 83 300SD with some roof trauma and I need the driveway space so I'm considering parting it out. The city won't let me have a visually non-running car in my driveway for more than a few days so this has to be a coordinated effort.

If you need something out of a beige over brown SD, please let me know. An offer would be helpful.

I don't have the facilities to pull an engine. I really don't want to pack things like seats, doors and glass.

Cut the roof off of it, put a car cover over it and tell everyone its a convertible....... :)

I'm sorta looking for leather seat covers, but I'd want pretty good ones and you'd probably have to pull the seats out to get them.

I might also be interested in a good used turbo to have on hand.

That has the 617 diesel, correct? If so, do you know the condition of the vacuum system? If you decide to part it, I might be interested in the shut off valve (from IP) and brake booster if they're in good shape and will work on a 123 body style 300D Turbo. I'm in San Jose, and can come get the parts if necessary.

The stuff you dont want to part out is worth the most money.

Sixto can you rent a storage space and part it out over a period of a month or two.........you should be able to part it out on the west coast....good luck
