Will this fit my car?
Lots of people asking the same question: Will the rims off the other model fit my car or not? How do we find out the answer? It is the lug size?

Offset is the key
The offset of the new wheels is the biggest factor determining whether another model's wheels will fit.
Also, wide wheels (8" and above) won't fit on some models (like W124s) without some modifications. Finally, bolt size is specific to model. 1992-now S-class and CL class use 14mm bolts, and the new E-class I believe, while older E, C, S, SLK, and CLK models use 12 mm bolts. I still haven't received a guaranteed answer on whether you can bolt wheels designed for the S and CL class onto a car designed for smaller lug bolts. The seats on the bolts should be the same, I think, for all wheels, but the bolt holes on the hub will be different. I have heard of people bolting S and CL-class wheels to their W124s, using their stock lugbolts. But - many recommend against this. Hope this helps. Troy 1995 E420 86k |
