Do W210 wheels fit a W124?
Will the wheels from a 1998 E320 fit my 1986 300E? I like the newer look and this will also allow my to fit larger tires.
Is this a simple fit or are they offset/mounting problems? Thanks |

Should Work
The 210 offset was, I believe, 41 mm. The stock wheels were no narrower than 7.5".
Your original wheels were probably 6.5" wide, with 44 to 49mm offset. So - the 201s should work (you need to decrease offset slightly when going to wider rims / tires to allow the wheel to clear the shock towers). There are many people running W210 wheels on their W124s. Hope this helps. Troy K. 1994 E420 86k |

W124 wheels are 7.5" wide ... and have a 37mm offset ... at least, that's what I thought. I was under the impression that 210 wheels would NOT (properly) bolt up to a 124 ... without a kit??? Am I mistaken?

Stock wheels are different
The stock wheels on W124s (500e / E500 excluded) are actually 6.5" wide and 15" diameter. All came with a stock tires size of 195/65 R15. Stock offsets are from 44mm-49mm.
Having said that - you can run, with no problems, 7.5" wide wheels with an offset as low as 37mm. 8" wide rims can work, from what others have posted, but sometimes requires a fender roll. They can also have problems clearing the shock towers. So for upgrade purposes (I've been looking to upgrade from stock for a while), I know that a W210 wheel as wide as 7.5" will work (this size is stock for most W210 models). Also - tire width can go as high as 215 without rubbing problems on a W124. Some have run 225s with no problems, but some do have problems. No one has reported problems running 215s (I believe). W210s and W124s use the same bolt diameter and pattern. Some wheels need longer or shorter bolts depending upon the width of the casting. Hope this helps. Troy 1995 E420 87k |

I have W210 wheels on my W124. Bolts right on.
W202, W208 (CLK), W170 (SLK) and W210 bolt right up on the 300e and 260e. Its the S and SL class wheels you have to watch out for. |

What wheel size then?
Sorry, I didn't read the post earlier...so knowing now that a 7.5 X 17 ET37 will fit my 94 E320, what's the best tire size for me, it has a 235's now...also, do I need to get a longer lugs? or can I use my old ones? The wheels came out from a 2001 E430...Thanks for your inputs.
