Same here, my spare was used a few times (the tire has some wear) but its the original Pirelli tire, and the wheel is sooo shiny and clean. My front wheels turn black constantly ever since I switched to OEM brake pads...the old ones were metallic ones and didn't make much if any dust at all...but these sure do... I often clean it with aluminum cleaner, but in a matter of days its all dirty again.

I'm fed up with the local yard's greedy infatuation with MBZ parts. They wanted $200 for one of these wheels. Jeez.

I'll pull a wheel this weekend and see what ET it uses.

You can probably buy a new one for that. My brand new E430 wheels were about $225 each at the stealership.

MGerdes had a set of 5 SD Bundt wheels for sale for $100. I bet he still has them. I imagine they would fit the SDL. Not quite as elegant as the fancy SDL wheels but might serve the purpose.

Edit: Now that I think of it, I believe they were 14's.

Agreed.

The jacka**es that run this particular yard have tried screwing me for the last time. While I was there today, I found a fairly decent inner panel tor replace the one missing on the SDL. They quoted me $30 before pulling it and by the time all the trinkets (armrest, ashtray etc...) landed on the counter they were casually mentioning $175.

I said, "no way, you can sit here and look at it by yourself for that price." and started to leave. The price dropped to $75....still $40 more than they initally said. "Thanks, but no thanks...$30 is what you said and that's what I'm willing to pay."

I hate being grifted so much that on my 123s I now buy parts cars. Thank heaven for the Greg's entropy workshop.

Thanx but, I have a full set of bundts on the newest parts car...infact, right now one of them is functioning as a 'get home' spare in the SDL.

Post the width and ET's that are acceptable and I'll begin the search this weekend perhaps.

Unfortunately, it was the one close to you. MTUPower is helping me out on this; he's got a line on one and, a door panel , in the Palm Beach area.
