The rims are from late model E320 with offset of 41 and 16 X 7.5 inch . My offset is 35 and current wheels are OEM 15 X 6.5 inches.
Will these rims and new tires work well on my car ? Thanks. Len

The stock 300E wheel has ET49, not ET35. The 16 X 7.5 with ET35 will fit your car perfectly. I am not sure about the ET41. The ET41 will move the tire/wheel 0.2" toward the center of the car. Make sure you have the clearance, especially the steering knuckle.

One more thing, the 87' 300E wheels are forged and the newer wheels are casted. Forged wheels are stronger and lighter than cast.

Thanks for response. Indeed the offset in the manual says 49, but everyone i talk to claimed the offset at 35, wheel manufacturers have it printed at 35 . What is the truth?. Len

Stock 300E has ET49. I bought a new 89' 300E and it had ET49. Your ET35 is not stock but works fine. Check your spare tire/wheel if you have not already. By the way, FRH makes a replica of the E320 wheel in 15 X 7 with ET37. Let me know if you have more questions.

TommyMB, Do you know anything about FRH wheels? I called them one day to get prices, which are quite cheap, but the guy was not the friendliest in the world, kinda turned me off. Also, is this a reputable company, I don't like to give my credit card to just anyone. I would like to get a nice set of 8 hole's for my 87 300E
Thanks in advance

Chris - FRH used to be Hartman Wheels. I currently own a set of 8 X 16 for my SEL and they are very high quality (but a little heavy). Tire Rack has several eight hole wheels from different manufactures for your car. I bought a set of Borbet eight hole 7 X 15 from them and they were high quality. I also bought a set of RW eight hole 7.5 X 16 from the Rack and they were not good - impossible to balance.

TSW also makes eight holes replica wheels and they are generally a couple of pounds lighter than other manufactures. Expect 15 lbs of 7 X 15 and 22 lbs for 7.5 X 16. If I were to buy another set of eight holes I will probably go with TSW next time. Good luck.
