hi I just bought a 87 300E with only 120K and need new tires...live in florida ..I'm looking for performance, speed, quietness, and handling..Any ideas will sure help..and not high on the cash flow.. Also can I upgrade from the 195-65-15? Thanks for any ideas

At about $50 a piece - Sumitomo's are very nice, a little soft in the sidewall but good in the rain and quiet. At about $100 each - I use Bridgestone Potenza RE950 and love them.

I have about 2000 miles on 205/60/15 Kuhmo Ecsta HP4 716 on my 94 E320 and am very pleased. They are very smooth and quiet, and good in the rain; much beter that the Michelin Energy they replaced. They cost $43 from Tire Rack, with shipping, balancing, and mounting the total was $288.
