Kuhmo used to be a crappy tire when they first came here, but alot are racing them now.Just don't buy the real cheap ones.Myself I stay away from Firestone. My Dad had bias ply tires with tread seperation. Then I had firestones radial do the same thing.I don't know if their bad influence rubbed off on Bridgtones.

Futura tires

I used standard name tires before on 6 cars. Then I was in pepboys in need of tires. They wete out of many name brand tires. Then I had them put on futura tires on my dodge grand caravan se. The cost of the tires were over $200 cheaper for the 4 tires. I went 80000 miles on the first set. And I am at 40000. I had the tire warranty $15 . I picked up nails off the freeway. I believe futura are good tires for the money. I never had any problems with pepboys.

I wrecked a nice low mileage 84 300cd mercedes because of a cheap tire, was almost sideswiped by a girl on her cell phone entering my lane ,swerved to prevent wreck going almost 60mph.I did not realize til I arrived home with the car in tow that the new cheap tire had ripped its sidewall due to the loaded forces during the swerve ,this is what they dont sell with cheap tires , a good stiff sidewall ,emergency type of manuervering is were the real tires make their namesake.
