Here's the scoop. Finally got the wheels installed with the tire sizes I wanted. Here are the specs:

(1) EVO II Wheels 17x8.25 - 34mm Offset (all the way around)
(2) Front - 215/45-17 AVS Intermediate. (No fender lip modification)
(3) Rear - 245/40-17 AVS (fender lip rolled)

I could have used 225/45-17 in the front. But, this combination keeps the rolling diameter same on both sizes.

Here's the link for the photos and the video clip

the car looks sweet! Whats the finish on the wheels?

have you lowered the car?

The wheels look very good on the car. I myself plan on the evo II's, but I neex to see the Titanium Wheels in their actual look before I decide on which ones to get.

If you check the performance forum, you'll see weve been going at it about the evo II's for the last few days eheh

Alon,

They are Polished. Titanium is only available in 17x7.5 size according to Bekkers Catalog. I would have loved to install them. But, my problem was, I'm installing 1994 E500 Calipers in the front and 17x7.5 won't clear them.

Hmmmm...
Looks very good, but one observation. You're running two very different sizes on the same sized rim- optimum wheel height for that car is 24.98", so 225-45 would be near perfect at 24.97". 245-40 is close at 24.71", and a good size for that rim width. 215-45, however, is well within acceptable tolerance at 24.61", but on a 7.5" rim. It looks too stretched for those 8.25" rims, don't you think?
I also had a question as to your exhaust... does it hang lower than a standard exhaust? I'm considering an aftermarket exhaust for my 95 E420, but have yet to find one that looks good enough and fits the factory cutout.

Enjoy the ride, it's a beauty! : )

very nice looking car, I like the front end too

I am curious, the photography and video turned out nice and clear, what equipment did you use?

Very nice monochromatic look you have there. This is the same look I'm shooting for on my 400E. Just waiting to figure out where to get the euro lights, then warm weather for some deep detailing! Than I'll be ready to post a picture or two.

Can you share where you are getting the 500E calipers and the cost? And rotor info too, please?

Very nice!

Dr. Julio,

I had to be conservative with the front tires. That's why I installed the 215/45. However, after checking the clearance, I discovered that, 225/45 could have been installed without any issues.

The Supersprint exhaust is straight through. Therfore it hangs about 6"-8" right of the opening on the rear valance. I think it hangs just right. Only time it might rub would be, when the car is loaded to a flatbed truck.

Chris,

Believe it or not, the Digital Camera was a KODAK DC-120 (1.1 Mega Pixel, about four years old) and the Video was taken with a SONY DCR PC-100 MiniDV Camcorder. Since then, I have purchased a CANON G1 DIGITAL (3.3 Mega Pixel)camera and, I must say, I am impressed with the quality of the image taken with it. I will attempt to take a few shots with that and post on the website.

Beautiful car!!! I have the same reaction every time I see a W124 (even though I've own one--first a 300E, now E420 for several years)and it is this: GodDAMN that's a good-looking car!!! --Mitch

Mitch Et. AL,

Thanks all for the Compliments. I agree 100% that W124 is a solid car with solid Chassis and a Sleek body.
