just got a set of 16in x 7.5 8 hole wheels and put 225 60 16 on them, they seem to clear the wells good but i still need to lower the front an inch or so
the place where i got the tires said that for that year 85 car in a 16in wheel the size was 215 60 16 but they didnt have a set on hand but had the set i bought
just wondering if i screwed up with the size and what are you alls recomendations

225/50-16 is the correct size, not 225/60 or 215/60-16. Sorry for the bad news.

Yep. The problem in your fender wells isn't the tire size, it's just too darn high (if it's OE). A 225/50/16 with the correct ride height (shorter, not OE) looks and rides fine.
