Michelin X-ice vs. Nokian Hakka 2/4
Anyone have experience with these two brands? Currently running Nokian WR all weathers. I'd like to run a dedicated winter tire. Driving will be a mix of snow/slush in temps dropping down to -30F, sometimes through 1-2" of snow on the ground, sometimes on hardpack icy snow.

Nokian Tires at Tiresbyweb.com
I just spoke with Ryan at www.tiresbyweb.com and they are offering $10 off per Nokian Tire with FREE SHIPPING in the Continental US if you mention this forum. You can call him at 800-576-1009.

I'm thinking about trying the Nokian RSi this season. Used Nokian WRs the last 3 and did OK, but would like a little more confidence on packed snow.
I've said it before, but I wish Tire Rack would figure out how to sell Nokians... |
Dang just got a quote for Nokians from my local Firestone. $750 per set of four.
X-ice at Costco, $421, or $361 between Oct 13 and Nov 2. That's less than half the price. Might just have to go with the Michelins. Why doesn't Tire Rack carry Nokians? |
Nokians
We've been asking Luke for years to carry Nokian. Imagine the business they could generate from this forum and word of mouth!
