I am planning to move to 16's on my '89 300E. Do you think is worthwhile for me place 16x7 with 205/55/16 on the fronts and 16x8 with 225/50/16's on the rears? I am not concerned with rotating the tires.

with a staggered set up on your 300E you wouldn't recieve much benefit and it would cause rubbing issues in the rear so, I wouldn't suggest it

Many thanx for the assistance and speedy service your team provided. I returned from a trip to find my new tires waiting in the garage. The 215-55-16's you shipped sure look great on my new 5 spoke wheels.

Before installing I followed the instructions of other posts and painted the calipers with red ceramic high heat paint. I gotta tell ya,...solid black 300E with the new wheels and tires and the new aggressive look...whew!! Told the wife perhaps the nomenclature on the back should disappear and should have a supercharger hidden under the hood (hint, hint ), she's not giving me the PO yet.
