Interchange W210 wheels?

Hi. Did a search but didn't find this one...
I've got a 2001 W210 E320. I need to replace the wheels.
Will factory W210 wheels off of a 98-99 W210 fit? I know the part numbers are different.
Are the lug bolts the same length? From some of the pix I've seen, they don't look it.
Thanks, KenP

chances are high that your car uses 14mm diam bolts, 14mm radius ball seat,
and probably 1" threaded shank.

....whereas the W210 uses 12mm diam bolt, 12mm radius ball seat, and more
likely 1.5" threaded shank...with long extension above the ball seat.

that's a generalization which is more likely to be true...than naught...

2001 E320 IS a W210

Sorry, you're incorrect about your generalization. My 2001 E320 is a W210 and uses 12mm lug bolts. and the lug bolts don't have an "extension" above the ball seat.

Hasn't anyone out there put early 210 wheels onto a late 210 hub???

Thanks, KenP

i was wrong because my brain read your car as w211 for some reason, ergo
my link to 211 thread.

I have interchanged rims on pre <--> post facelifted 210s. you didn't identify
your current rims so can't tell the specific needs. different wheel designs may
require different bolts, natch. check the rim thickness at the lug point to
ensure proper shank length.

you can also pull the wheel and drop the bolt into the lug...measuring how far
out it protrudes. do same for new rim. too long a bolt, you potentially destroy
your parking brake etc. too short, natch, you shorchange the fastening critical
specs.

after installing, still jacked up, carefully turn the wheel and listen for any
sounds of metal/metal contact, clicking, etc.

sorry for the misdirect. long day at work yesterday.
