Luke:
My wife has an 93 Lexus ES300 and her size is a 205/65/15 tire. We are wanting to stay in the $50-$70 range. We are looking at the Sumitomo SRIXON4, the Pirelli P6000, The Bridgestone Potenza 950, and the Yokohama Avid H4. What do you recommend? Maybe a different tire than listed here? Thank you very much for your imput. Scott

Scott,
I got the new Bridgestone RE950 tires for a Jetta. I highly recommend them. The car feels totally different now, and they are VERY quiet. Just a non-professional point of view...

My first choice in an all-season tire is the Dunlop Sport 5000. Here is how my preferences break down for this type of tire

1.) Sport 5000
2.) Sport 5000
3.) AVS DB
4.) RE 950
5.) G-Force KDWS

and yes the 5k is good enough to occupy the first 2 positions.

I would add a vote for the Yokohama AVS Db -- we just put a set on my daughter's 420SEL -- amazingly quiet, good handling and V-rated. It seems to score well against the Dunlp in the TireRack customer ratings: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare2.jsp?compare=true&partNumber=&make=&model=&price=&width=205%2F&ratio=65&diameter=15&sortCode =&speedRating=&qty=&stockMessage=&type=T&URL=&newCompare=true&minLoad=S&vehicleSearch=true&speed_rat ing=VR&speed_rating=WR&speed_rating=YR&speed_rating=ZR&manufacturer=Bridgestone&manufacturer=Dunlop& manufacturer=Yokohama&startIndex=10&sortValue=1&qty_065R5BZWS50_=4

Price is about the same as Dunlops, tho availability may be a problem -- the Db have caught on and may be on back order.

I just put a set of Yoko DB's with AMG monoblocks, and they are great. Very quiet, smooth and responsive, I highly recomend them. Oh, they look awsome too.
