W124 and 210 wheels

Does anyone know if the wheels that fit on W124 also fit on W210?

After I sold my 300E, I left with a set of wheels with snow tires. They are the Borbet Replica II type (I think the size is 15 x 7) with 195 65 15 tires. I would like to use them on my 1997 E320 if they will fit. the stock wheels on the E320 is 16 x 7.5 with a 41 mm offset. The 300E calls for 15 x 6.5 with a 48 offset.

TIA.

Bo

You will sure have room to put on chains! The old wheels will be 5mm further away from the suspension, and 21mm recessed from the fender. The 195/65 15" tires will be just about exactly equal in diameter to a 205/55 16" tire, and 10mm less wide.

W124 and 210 wheels

Thank you, JCE.

I did some diameter calculations.

215 55 16 has diameter of 634.5 mm

195 65 15 hs a diameter of 642.9 mm

So the diameters are very close (within 1.5%).

From your reply, it seems they won't fit.

I think they will probably fit on the car OK, but the rims and tires will be more narrow than the stock units. Being in So Cal ( ) I don't know enough about snow driving to know if this is good or bad
