The Bridgestone S-02 should do quite well in the wet. As should the Pilot Sport, Yoko AVS Sport, and Dunlop SP9000. Generally narrower section width is better at resisting hydroplaning.

Hope this helps...Lee

there are several tires to consider when answering your question. My favorites when considering wet traction in order are: Bridgestone S-O2 Pole Postion, Michelin Pilot Sport, Dunlop Sport 9000, Yokohama AVS Sport, Bridgestone Potenza RE730, Firestone SZ-50.
All of these tire are very good in wet conditions. The dry performance should also be of concern because if a tire is great in the rain but very bad when it's dry how much performance are you willing to sacrifice.
Of the tire mentioned above the first 2 would be excellent choices for great wet and dry performance.

thanks Luke for the additional info. i live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where rain is a way of life. hydroplaning is a grave concern and i believe tire manufacturers still have to have an answer to it.

A great tire that is usually overlooked is the Bridgestone RE71. It was the OEM tire for the 959. The Tirerack test results show it to be one second faster than the yoko AVS intermediate on a wet track.

They wear fast but they're cheap - so it works out about even.

I just put them on my C43 and they're great. The seem to stick better than the OEM conti's and don't ride as hash - The car rattles less which is great.
