Mixing Steel and Light Alloy Wheels??
My 83 300 TD came with 5 1/2 14" light alloy wheels (15 hole, white band, 1234001302). On an icy day, I slid into a curb and destroyed one and have one that is slightly out of round. I found one replacement locally but have had no luck finding a reasonably priced second locally or on the internet.
There seem to be a lot more equivalent steel wheels out there. Are there significant negatives to mixing one steel in with 3 light alloy? Thanks!! Gib

I am not so sure about this but I think it will affect the your car's performance. For replacement you should check on your car's manual if that replacement is suitable in your car.

Gib, recommend spending the extra money for an alloy wheel so all 4 wheels match. If you truly cannot afford to do that, recommend buying 2 steel wheels and keeping them on the same axle.

I have some queries posted through on line parts search services looking for the alloy wheel by part number. If I don't have any luck, I'll do as Fred suggested and go with two steel wheels on one axle. Thanks for the replies!
