Help finding cheap wheels

Hey everybody, I'm looking for some cheap steel wheels in 15x6 (or 6.5, whatever stock wheel width is) for my w123, so I can have an extra set of wheels for offroad/winter tires. I'd use bundts but I have the larger w126 brakes on the front so I need at least 15" wheels to fit over them. Anybody know any places that sell cheap 15x6 et30 wheels? I'm also planning on taking my Benz to King of the Hammers in February with another mercedes buddy so that's another reason I'd like to have some bigger/better tires.

If anybody can point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it, I've looked a bit online and haven't been able to find anything

Thanks!

Look towards Volkswagen maybe. Passat, mk5+ jetta, mk5+ golf/gti, and some others used steel wheels with hubcaps and were in 5x112 pattern.

sassparilla:

Put a number on "cheap". Would 15x6.5 15 hole MB alloys work?

Yeah those would work, I would have thought it was gonna be easier to find some steelies but the 15 hole alloys would work, as long as they're the right offset (I have a set with the w124/201 offset and can't use them)
As for "cheap" I wasn't looking to spend a whole awful lot on them since there's a good chance they get scuffed up in the future (like on camping trips and offroad adventures)

Go to the huge Mercedes Benz junkyard in Rancho Cordova think it's on "RecyclE Road" or somplace with a similar name.

Last year I vbought a set of 4 matching (used) stock E420 wheels in very good shape, no kerbing, on which I then mounted
on which mounted a new set of studded mud and snow tires, for winter and snowdriving. With snow chains, the car was unstoppable, though snow conditions,, if the car was driven at modest speeds ie, chained up and not over about 30 mph..

I'd havve to check my records but I think the e 420 wheels from that yard cost about $300, around in there. I THINK These w124 Mercedes Benzes are very competent in awful weather, in fact the e420, with its battery in the trunk, has almost a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.... balance, hard as it may seem to believe.

I was told that he CHP has been using this setup for winters, successfully on their Crown Vic Police Interceptors successfully for years, though it appears the CVPI units are finally being phased out, and SUV's like Ford Explorers are being phased in now.
