AMG Aero II Monoblock 15x7 at Tire Rack - $159each

If anyone needs some nice AMG wheels for their 190E and want to keep the stock size, hurry and go to tirerack.com. I just bought four AMG Aero II Monoblock wheels for $159 each. At this price they are cheaper than replicas!

They are an uncommon size these days, but I want to keep the stock size. Just thought you fellow Mercedes owners might be interested.

Do you think you might be able to post some pics of the AMGs on your 190E?
I am currently looking for some "summer wheels "for my 190E . I was looking at 16s, but at that price I may stick with 15s. Besides ,I can get very good tires(Pirelli P7000, Kumho Ecsta)in 195/50/15 very cheap. In fact ,tire rack has P7000 at a stupidly low price of $47 each.

Sure I'll post some pics. They should be here by Friday. I ordered Kumho tires to go with it. They should look sharp!

Later.

on 15x7s, use the sportline size of 205/55/15s. IF not then use 195/60/15s, but 195/50/15s are the wrong size.

for 16s, 205/50/16, 215/50/16s, or 225/45/16s.
for 17s, 215/45/17 (if not lowered) 215/40/17s (if lowered) or 225/40/17s(only made by nitto)

Good luck on your tire search, and those Monoblocks look nice with 225/50/15s. That size could be used, but I think you might need a fender roll. Looked might beefy though.

Thanks for the info. I ordered the stock Sportline size of 205x55x15. It handles great with that tire size. Kumho tires were $67. Hard to beat that price!

Yes. I agree 205/50/15s are best suited to the 190E(unlowered) if sticking with the 15s. My Scirocco has 15x7 Momo Arrows, lowered with Eibach springs. 195/50/15 is the right size for that wheel and car.
If the 190 was lowered, why not go with 195/50/15(which seems to be a highly produced size with alot of very cheap prices) as opposed to the 195/60/15 you suggested. This option would just have a lower sidewall height.Would this be wrong?

Well the smaller the tire gets, the less load carrying capacity it has. Each manufactuer keeps this in mind when chosing a tire size for their vehicle. Going to a smaller tire carries less of a load capacity.

The proper sizes are as follows:

185/65/15 (stock)
195/60/15
205/55/15
225/50/15 (if you have fenders rolled)

goto paspeedo.com, and you will see the effects of going to a smaller tire on your abs or speedo.

I got the wheels and tires installed. Here's some pictures:

No problems on the installation. The offset is 37mm, different from the stock 44mm on 15x7 wheels. This puts the wheels 7mm further out, which does look better. They don't rub anything when turning and give the car a more aggressive appearance. The lug bolts do stick out more than with the stock wheels. I ordered some chrome lug bolt covers to cover up the old bolts. I also tried to put on some Kleen wheels brake dust guards that just don't fit with these wheels. On the front, the brake caliper rubbed against it. Had to take them off. I'm not goint to use them at all on the car (front is where you need them the most, not really nesessary on the back). I also need to have the front end aligned since with the new wheels and tires, the car drifts to the right going above 40mph.

Overall I'm satisfied with the appearance, handling, and value of this whole experience. Since I only put about 3500 miles on the car a year, they should last awhile.
